Returning... and this time it's for REALZ!

Reposting this here, for those of you who might have missed the news via email or on the Sentinels forums. The new laptop's been ordered, and should be arriving this weekend. I'll be able to get on Vent this weekend, but won't be back on WoW until after I upgrade to Windows 7 and install and patch the game. Look for me to be back sometime next week

Oh, the irony. Part 2 of our update commences, with a rant.

So, I order my wonderful laptop from Best Buy, and guess what happens! They CANCEL my order with no explanation, and now the blasted model is sold out. No big deal, right? I just buy a laptop somewhere else. WRONG! See, my credit funds are held until Best Buy releases them, and they've been.... well, completely unhelpful bastards. So, in another week, I MIGHT have a laptop. Bastards.

So, time to email carpet bomb Best Buy's corporate office, and gets these assholes to gimme my money back. Jerks. I'm now looking at ANOTHER week to get back online. ><

Oh, Mael... You will learn, as I have, that Best Buy absolutely sucks when it comes to buying any appliances or electronics through them. Go there for movies and music, maybe even some accessories for your appliances and electronics, but buy the heavy-duty stuff elsewhere. Cynlan has spoken!

But seriously, it sucks that they screwed you over. Seems everyone I know who bought a laptop through them has had nothing but bad experiences, either through purchasing or repairs of said laptop. I feel for ya, man, and I hope they pull their heads outta their @$$es long enough to give you your money back so you can go somewhere GOOD and get a computer.

The really suck part about this is Best Buy is the ONLY place I've been able to find that carries the Asus laptop I want. Oh well! Looks like I'm gonna be buying a HP instead. It's gonna cost about $150 more, though, which ticks me off. C'est la vie, cash!

HP is not bad. Neither is Dell. The former supplied my laptop computer, the latter is my desktop. Both are way awesome. Go forth and collect yon computer, varlot!

...Not even sure what the heck a varlot is, but it sounded appropriate.

Newegg is an online retailer you might want to check out also. My computer was rebuilt last November with components from them. They have completed laptops and desktops also.

And, 'cus the gods are kind to me: I bought my HP laptop last night, and it should be here sometime today. Tiger Direct knocked $70 off the price, after hearing the insanity I had to go through with Best Buy.
